Dubuque Lutheran School (DLS) was founded in 2002 as a joint ministry of St. Paul and Our Redeemer Lutheran Churches, congregations of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The mission of DLS is to enrich the whole child – soul, mind, and body – in a Christ-centered learning environment.
DLS offers a complete kindergarten through fifth grade academic program – including language arts, math, science, social studies, Spanish, religion, physical education, health, art, computer skills, and music – and is accredited by the state of Iowa.

As we come before God to ask His blessing on this year, we can look at Jeremiah 29:11, and know that He has already planned it for us. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” These are the plans we look to see accomplished here at Dubuque Lutheran School, by His grace, and to His glory.
Dubuque Lutheran School graduated its first class.

Who is Martin Luther? On October 31, 1517 Luther posted his 95 Thesis or sentences on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany.
He was hoping to encourage discussion, but instead caused a reformation. All of his reforms are based on the Bible. Luther was inspired when he read Ephesians 2:8 "By grace you are saved, through faith." Our faith is built on Jesus, who was sent by God to save us from our sins by dying on the cross and rising again on Easter.
We can each have a relationship with God because of the work of Christ. Learn more

Thank you to all our volunteers!
If you would like to volunteer, talk to a teacher and we will find something for you to do such as making copies, cutting, helping in the classroom, or driving for field trips. You can help make DLS a "great place to grow!"
As the school grows, there are continuing opportunities for you to provide input. One way is to serve on a committee of the school board. Committees meet for one hour once a month. But, there is homework! Please see a board member or Mrs. Schubert if you are interested in serving the school in this way.

It's Cool In a Lutheran School
Refrain:
It's cool, cool, cool, in a Lutheran School With Christian friends and teachers, too.
It's great, great, great so celebrate, brate, brate.
We share the caring Christ, in a Lutheran School!
We have a friend named Jesus;
He's with us every day.
In classroom, lunch or playground;
We follow Jesus' way. (refrain)
For Jesus Christ our Savior
Came down to earth to live;
To die and rise on Easter,
The whole world to forgive. (refrain)
We thank our heavenly Father
For minds to read and write.
Our learning starts and ends with
Our Savior, Jesus Christ. (refrain)
